Multi-photo upload #
Use Multi-photo upload to add many observations efficiently after fieldwork. Each selected photo starts as a separate draft record. Before saving anything, you can combine photos that show the same specimen or observation.
Typical scenario #
You have a set of photos from one trip. Three images were taken of the same insect within a short period, while two more document another specimen at a different place. Add all files together, combine the first three into one record, and group the remaining photos by observation. ENTOMONE will save the correct number of records, each with one or several photos.
Prepare the records #
- Open Data > Multi-photo upload and select the photos.
- On a phone, tap the round selection control on every photo that belongs to the same observation. A green ✓ and border confirm the selection. On a computer, use the same controls or hold
Ctrl(Cmdon macOS) while clicking more cards. - Select Combine. The selected cards become one draft record with a photo carousel and a
1/Ncounter. - Complete or correct the species name, date and time, coordinates, observation place, site, accuracy and notes. The date and GPS are initially read from EXIF when available.
- Repeat the grouping for the remaining photos, then select Save N observations.
Photo tools #
On a phone, the photo tools remain visible; on a computer, they appear on hover. The ✓ control adds or removes a card from the multi-selection, the magnifier opens a large preview, the minus removes only the current photo from the draft record, and the cross removes the entire draft record. Side arrows move through photos in a combined group.
Removing or combining a card on this screen changes only the set being prepared. Records are created only after the final save action.
